Love you two…thanks for sharing your experiences with us! It’s inspired my husband and I to get off our bumms and do it! We chose to downsize and try full-timing it in a 5th wheel, and it’s been a bit of a pocket-book shock on the costs of preparing. I’m hopeful that once we hit the road, the shock will lesson and good things will come! Thanks again for being so positive, truthful, and fun to watch! Safe travels!

Very south of Breckenridge is the town of Salida. It is right on the west side of the Arkansas River. The town is featured in 20 best western towns, Sunset mag, this month. Fun town, great people, bookstores, great boutiques, art, etc. WW rafting in summer and year-round camping. Top 5 favs!

So excited to be able to follow along with you during season 4. You’re an amazing family, with a huge heart. On your way to Denver. Don’t forget to stop in Colorado Springs. Focus on the Family, United States Air Force Academy ( with family camp ground open all year if you’ve served in the military), Pikes Peak with cog rail from Manitue Springs. Safe travels!

Did you install the Firestone air bags on your new truck? Do you recommend them?

Love watching your family explore! Now that you are trying out colder climates what are you doing to stay warm? You said you did somethings to prep your RV for this season, what were they? I’m trying to convince my family that we can still have fun in the winter with our trailer, I can’t wait to see if you run in to some snow this season.

Hi
Had to mention winter camping is wonderful. We went to Jasper National Park Canada April 2016 it snowed and was cold in our little RPod. The furnace did well and was comfortable. When Cathy retires next October we are planning on getting a bigger rig and going full time. Not planning on shying away from the cold weather but will follow the seasons.

You guys are wonderful! Thanks for sharing your experiences. I’m selling my house and heading off to Utah for a 5-6 month trip, including a job as a camp host. Didn’t realize it until I just found your videos but the advice you shared may travel through me to a lot of people. Am sure many entertaining stories will come out of this trip.
Utlimately, I’ll be settling in near Zion and buying a house so if you are ever headed towards that area, give me a shout!

I Marc and Tricia, we like your adventures, We have a question for you, How can we travel and make money enough to our dream come true?

After watching a gazillion of your youtube posts… Ron and I sold, donated, stored, gave away all of our stuff and began full timing in our fifth wheel as of mid August 2017. Was our plan for retirement (FINALLY!!!!) but the process of “beginning” was mind boggling. Your tips, stories and nudges were just what we needed to get going. Ron had never traveled the USA by land west of Michigan. Since August we have traveled west through Wisconsin, MN, IA, ND and Montana (where our daughter and son-in-law live)…. After three weeks with them, we went south through Wyoming, CO, NM and are spending the winter in AZ. LOVE YOUR STATE especially when it is 3 degrees and snowing in Michigan. And Ron is amazed at the magnificence of this country… and we are planning to travel until we are unable to do so from this point on. Your travels in season 4 are our plan for leaving Quartzsite so we will be watching with great interest. Hopefully I can figure out how we have hooked in with you guys… being “of that age” I am not sure what I have done or where I access it… but supposedly we are now hooked into your emails and utube… Maybe you can find us in your listings and give me a hint… but in any case… THANKS for all of your inspiration, tips and nudges. We are having a blast! And at 70 years young are hoping for many adventures ahead of us…

How do you decide your destinations and the route? We plan to leave the end of May and head North from FL to visit family and friends. There is much to see in between I am sure, yet I don’t know what… how do you find out what is hot to see? I hope the house sales so we don’t have to come back after summer. We also have a condo to sell in FL too.
Marc says
Hey there Becky!
Pick the your “must see” locations first and then fill in the links. Use things like Pinterest and other picture-based sites to see what is in the area you are visiting so you can get a feel for what you want to see. This is easier said than done, but don’t rush…if you have a limited amount of time you have to set a reasonable goal for yourself to see what you can. We wish you the best of luck and we are so happy you are here!

Greetings from snowy New Hampshire. I discovered your YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago and I am addicted! Your travels have brought back many precious memories of rv travels I took with my parents and sisters from the late 70’s to 90’s. Your videos are not only enjoyable but informative. You are an inspiration to daydreamers like myself. Blessings to you all!

I know previous seasons you mentioned using Google Maps, but do you also use a GPS? As a Noobie getting ready to travel across the country I curious How you plan your routes in order to not catch low clearances or too steep of a grade or too tight of a turn.
Randy says
Hi Chris, I’m looking into full time RV myself and wondered about that very question.
The two things I found that MAY be good sources are
The Truckers Road Atlas https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=truckers+road+atlas
The McNally RV GPS app https://www.noobie.com/2013/06/05/is-there-a-gps-app-for-rv-owners-worried-about-low-bridge-heights/
Hope this helps.

You guys are awesome! Look us up if you make it back to Virginia! We can host a night for you both.

Greetings from Massachusetts!!! We leave next month for a 10 day visit to Utah, Nevada, Arizona. You and Tricia are an inspiration for us. We wanted to do this, that and the other but always had the “someday” attitude. We’ve made a list of bucket list “must sees” and goals and we’re going to do what we can right now and try to move closer to those goals as time, money and energy will allow. Thank you for sharing your life and journey with us and making us realize the only one stopping us from our dreams is ourselves!!!

You are living the life I would love to live. I really appreciate your videos. The only way this could be possible for me and my situation would be hitting the lottery

My husband Rob wants to know if having a toaster in the RV is a must? He feels it takes up space.
He normally griddles the bread.. I have it in case we need it.

You guys are our new favorite show. We have an Airstream and live in Michigan. Loved your episode where you played euchre with friends! Woodland is our go to for accessories and repairs (although we do a lot ourselves). We truly hope we run into you all sometime. It would make our year! When are you swing back to the Great Lake State?
Cheers and stay safe!
