Sailing Chance joins KYD from NYC to share how they sustain their sailing lifestyle while working full time. Jason and Kelley live aboard their 1982 Vagabond 42 center cockpit and share stories of sailing to the Bahamas and watching America’s Cup from their boat.

 

About Sailing Chance

After a shakedown cruise through Florida and the Bahamas, we’re back in New York City working full time during the week and full time on our Vagabond 42 on the weekends getting her ready to cruise. We liveaboard with our two rescue dogs Dewey and Riley.

 

 

About The Boat

Chancelot is a 1982 Vagabond 42 center cockpit ketch. She has a lot of what we were looking for in our next boat, and a lot that we didn’t know we wanted. She has nice wide catwalks that make going forward to raise the sails a breeze. She has so much deck space for people to spread out on – in fact we even managed to comfortably squeeze 11 people aboard! There is a nice aft deck and big enough cockpit seats that both Jason and I can stretch out on for a nap.
