Summer to Remember 2021 Art Contest
Are you ready for summer?? We can’t wait and we’re even more excited to kick-off summer with the 2021 Summer to Remember design. The KYD community is incredibly talented and we know this year’s design will be great!
But you don’t have to be a graphic designer to enter! The S2R art contest is for everyone as long as you comply with the contest rules below!
Design tips: You should know that this year’s shirt will be heathered navy blue. The colors will likely be the KYD turquoise and white (maybe a third color depending on the design). We will most likely have a left pocket logo on the front and a full size in the back.
Remember that the S2R shirts is about the community, not us. It’s flattering to see designs of our family, Charlie or the Airstream, and you’re welcome to submit designs like that, but if you see the previous years, you’ll notice that the winning design is for everyone.
S2R21 Art Contest Guidelines:
Purpose: To pick a design for KYD’s Summer to Remember 2021 t-shirt design
Who can enter: Anyone! This is a design concept contest.
Design Requirments:
- All art must be 100% original.
- You agree that KYD will retain all rights to the image after submitted.
- KYD will finalize the art and make updates for brand consistency.
- Submit design in JPG format (or a picture from your phone)
When does the design need to be submitted: Anytime before March 24th, 2021
What does the winner get: The top-voted design will win $500 cash paid via Paypal. The second and third runner-up designs will receive a Harvest Hosts membership (and a KYD high five).
How will the winner be selected: Marc, Tricia, Victoria, Carson, Caleb and Charlie (The KYD Family) will pick three (3) designs that they like most. Our KYD designer will make revisions to all 3 designs and an email poll will be sent to the KYD email list. The design with the most votes will win!
How do you submit your design? Submit your design here >> Submissions Closed
When will the winner be selected: We will send an email to the entire KYD Community to vote on Sunday, March 28th and pick a winner Wednesday, March 29th.
Special note: Remember that this is a design contest. We know there are very talented graphic designers in the community, but a simple drawing on the back of a napkin could very well win!
**There have been designs submitted with the KYD family, Charlie and our Airstream. Remember that S2R is not about us 🙂 It’s about the community and making the most of the summer!
Last year’s Design:
KYD is always up for new ideas as long as it brings the community together and includes everyone. We like designs that resonate with anyone from tents to toy haulers and anything between! Don’t let the last year’s design limit you. As we mentioned, this is a concept design contest. We have found that a lot of open space makes a more comfortable shirt and we like last year’s design for that reason.
If you have any questions, post them in the comments below. Please know that comments need to be approved before showing up. It’s a spam thing and we’re looking for a better way.

Do you have any size small of the “S2R – 20” shirts still available?
Thanks,

Are we limited to entering one design?
Angel says
I was wondering this as well.
Frida Heroman says
I was also going to ask that!
Jessica M. says
Can you pretty, pretty please have baby onesies and toddler sizes this year? 😊
Valerie Tiffany says
oooh, I’m probably being a baby, but, perhaps some 3/4 sleeve for adult “older” women who don’t like their upper arms…ie: baseball raglan style
Tracy Adams says
My thoughts EXACTLY! Baseball style!
Greg Stanton says
I noticed in the shirt samples there is always a small camper at the bottom of the design. Is this something you added to the design?
Chris Lasley says
WHAT WEBSITE SHOULD I USE. I AM NUMBER 1 FAN AND I AM A KID
Shannon says
I submitted my design. It can easily be tweaked to less colors and the art within it can easily be changed to incorporate other items than what is represented. That was a fun project! Thanks for the opportunity!

We love watching your videos and following along with your family. We got the shirts last year and my boys loved them. My oldest son decided he wanted to submit a design for this year when he saw your video. He was so excited to submit his design. He explained the design to me and said it shows all of his favorite places to camp.
Julie Swofford says
Just submitted a base graphic that could have a background added of a scenic camping location!
(yes, as a base, it contains the Airstream and Charlie… but it also gives Marc another opportunity to plead his case for the Ford Bronco…. which really won’t tow the Airstream!)
Thanks for keeping people involved and informed….
Mary Sewell says
That is as fun, just uploaded my submission. Haven’t done anything like that in years.

Can there be multiple entries from one household? Both of my children would like to submit a drawing. Just started following you all on YouTube and the whole family loves your content!
Debbie Anderson says
Will there be stickers too?

I think you may mean March 31 as the day to pick a winner?
“When will the winner be selected: We will send an email to the entire KYD Community to vote on Sunday, March 28th and pick a winner Wednesday, March 29th.”

Merry daughter Kaitlyn and I both submitted a design! It was a dad-daughter challenge 🙂
