FORScan Process
The Excel file linked above is the list that we used in this video. The newest version of FORScan makes it easier than entering all of these individual codes however you can see here what options exist. Not all work on all models. Find what you want and it tells you in which module it is located. Use FORScan to load that module and adjust as desired.
*Disclaimer: KYD did not generate this document nor did we test every mod listed. Use at own risk!!
Check back for more updates on the process.
Running From Grnats says
Owners of 2020 + SuperDutys should be aware some of the Forscan settings will not work as expected on their vehicles. Your Forscan spreadsheet works for 2017-2019, there are changes in the computers of the 2020+ models. One example is if you try to set up gauge temps on the dash, you may loose the rear cameras. There is supposed to be an updated list with settings to avoid the issue. And 2020+ owners need to be aware if you run into issues using Forscan, you could be voiding your warranty on those modules.
While most adjustments seem to work, be sure you have the most updated information for you year SuperDuty.
Steve says
I’ve seen a 2020+ list on the FORScan forum but that doesn’t have nearly as many codes as the one KYD posted. What’s the advice here? Use FORScan’s updated version for what’s in the list and KYD for the others?
Mitch says
There are lists on ford-trucks.com for the 2020+ trucks too.

What about the “Death Wobble”? Did you get that fixed? We experienced it recently in our 2019 F350 and the dealer told us the parts are on backorder until AT LEAST Jan 31, 2021 🙁
Mark Riemer says
Call King suspension and get an upgraded steering dampener. It’s not the best fix, but it’ll take care of the problem for the next 75k miles for about $250.
Scott O. says
I had my “death wobble” fixed last year on my F250 by the dealership, sadly it didn’t work. I hope Ford can figure this problem out.

Hey Guys,
I just traded for a 2021 white F-250 King Ranch if your interested. Only 456 miles on it! Our customer traded in a F-450 dually then decided he wanted the dually back. This is a new truck with a used truck price. Would love to put you guys in a FORD OF DALTON truck if your interested…. It will sell fast.

I also have the 2019 Ford F-250 Platinum! Is there a way to program our mirrors so they automatically fold out/in when you turn the vehicle on/off?
Rebb says
Disregard! I looked through the Excel, which provides info and also leads one to a forum with step-by-step instructions. Definitely one to think about updating!
Randall says
What Excel are you speaking of?
Thanks!
Randall says
Nevermind, realized it is the FORScan file…. duh! LOL
Johnny K says
I would also like to auto-fold the mirrors on exit. Have you gotten any feedback on how to do it?
Andrew Gasser says
Does anyone know how to turn down the Apple car play brightness ? I’ve tried in auto and in full nighttime mode….still blinding at night.
Balde says

Blown away. Had to run home and check out my 2019 F-250. First, I had no idea there was another small compartment above my glove compartment! Second, washer fluid for my front view camera! Mind blown! Probably not the most significant takeaways from this video but I’m happy. Thanks.

Do any of you Superduty Experts know how to restart the Pro Trailer Backup Assist calibration process? We got an F-350 in October and went through the calibration with our 5th wheel. The sequence of tasks and displays shown in the truck did not align with what the manual said we should see/do. Never really got the sense that the calibration was complete or successful, and when using the feature its “straight back” setting always wants to turn the camper slightly. I don’t want to delete the camper from the truck’s database, as I want to retain the details it’s already tracking (like miles, fuel economy, etc) – I just want to start the calibration over from Step 1 and try again. Thanks!

Is there a way using Forscan to recalibrate the speedometer for larger tire sizes?
K Wheeler says
I had this same question. Anyone have answer?

Hi Mark,
Do you use weight distribution bars with your hitch to tow the Air Stream? We have a similar weight GD TT and are thinking about moving to an F250 TV next season. I’m wondering if the bars are still needed.
Thanks,
Jeff

Did your friend use the OBDLink Cx Bluetooth scanner to update his settings and if so would you happen to know the software he used. Thanks in advance. Love the channel by the way
Craig Halnan says
I enjoyed the info about FORScan. I do have a question, when I am hooked up and pulling my trailer lights do not come on during the day time. I would like them to come on when the truck is running and power off when the truck is shut off. I am powering my remote trailer via one of the lights and I do not want to have to remember to shut the lights off when I stop.
Thanks
Vernon Jettlund says
This is due to the truck’s light sensor turning the truck lights – and thus, trailer lights – off.
The fix is to turn your headlights from ‘auto’ to ‘on’.
Brian Casteel says
This is only partially true. This messed with me when I first installed my trailer camera and it would be working until I closed the door. Auto should have worked, right? 🙂 Power is only supplied when the trailer lights are on, and I like not having to toggle, lest I forget to change it back. Parking lamps were enabled in the BCM config using Forscan, so I can leave everything in auto and the lights/camera don’t work ONLY when it’s in park. If it’s in gear, everything is happy.
I changed quite a few other things in my configs, but this definitely helped with the trailer light setup.

so is there any information about the 2016 F250 mod’s like your doing to the 217 or did I buy the wrong truck?
Jimmy says

THANK YOU

Jimmy you ever figure this out? I have a short commute to work so I’m concerned with my regen cycle, and would like to manually control it. Thanks!

I have MacBook Pro and iPhone and am trying to figure out which adapter would allow me to make a couple of key adjustments on my 2022 F450. Such as the double beep….
Phil Ragsdale says
I have a screen on my 21F250 that has reverted to the 4” screen info in the top left corner only. What setting on ForScan allow me to change this back to 8”?
Alan says
Hello
Does anyone know if you can have two gauges displayed in center of info screen like the 2020 F450 do?
Currently have 2017 Platinum and can only select one gauge in center screen
Thank you
