Summer to Remember 2020 Art Contest
Are you ready for summer?? We can’t wait and we’re even more excited to kick-off summer with the 2020 Summer to Remember design. The KYD community is incredibly talented and we know this year’s design will be great!
But you don’t have to be a graphic designer to enter! The S2R art contest is for everyone as long as you comply with the contest rules below!
Design tips: You should know that this year’s shirt will be charcoal heathered grey. The colors will likely be the KYD turquoise and white (maybe a third color depending on the design). We will most likely have a left pocket logo on the front and a full size in the back.
S2R20 Art Contest Guidelines:
Purpose: To pick a design for KYD’s Summer to Remember 2020 t-shirt design
Who can enter: Anyone! This is a design concept contest.
Design Requirments:
- All art must be 100% original.
- You agree that KYD will retain all rights to the image after submitted.
- KYD will finalize the art and make updates for brand consistency.
- Submit design in JPG format (or a picture from your phone)
When does the design need to be submitted: Anytime before March 16th, 2020
What does the winner get: The top voted design will win $500 cash paid via Paypal. The second and third runner up designs will receive a Harvest Hosts membership.
How will the winner be selected: Marc, Tricia, Victoria, Carson and Caleb (The KYD Family) will pick three (3) designs that they like most. Our KYD designer will make revisions to all 3 designs and an email poll will be sent to the KYD email list. The design with the most votes will win!
How do you submit your design? The time is up. We’ll be sending and email with a voting poll soon!
When will the winner be selected: The week of March 23rd. The exact date will be updated on this page after the poll.
Special note: Remember that this is a design contest. We know there are very talented graphic designers in the community, but a simple drawing on the back of a napkin could very well win!
**There have been designs submitted with the KYD family, Charlie and our teardrop. Remember that S2R is not about us 🙂 It’s about the community and making the most of the summer!

KYD is always up for new ideas as long as it brings the community together and includes everyone. We like designs that resonate with anyone from tents to toy haulers and anything between! Don’t let the last years design limit you. As we mentioned, this is a concept design contest.

What if I need to explain my design to make it more clear as to the concept. Do I have to draw it to enter the contest if I can explain it in a way that gives you a clear picture of what I have in mind?
I needed to explain my terrible drawing skills, so I drew out the concept and then wrote a note at the bottom before snapping a photo to submit? I don’t know if that is right or not, but you won’t be the only one if you do.
What are your notional travel plans for Summer 2020?
Knowing would help inspire my design 🙂
I need to update the tips on this page. We’re getting a lot of designs about us, the family and our RVs. And S2R has little to nothing to do with us 🙂 It’s all about the KYD community! We’ll be sharing our 2020 route soon and will include a lot of the States and a bit of Canada 🙂
For S2R shirt:
Have drawings/pics of different size RV’s
Say something like: No matter the size RV, you can get out and explore the country.

If your moving on to a A class for this year, why have the mini trailer on the shirts? Just a thought.
The little trailer has been all the designs each year to showcase the year.

Maybe another couple of weeks! We wanted to wait a bit due to the madness, but we used the time to find a couple new styles and hopefully a hoodie ????

Will you have baby onesies?? We are taking our son out camping this summer and would LOVE to have matching shirts for all of us! It truly will be a S2R for us as he is our first child and will be experiencing a bunch of camping firsts.
